Meet The Team
Danielle Jaku-Greenfield, Miriam Ziegler and Nicole Ash are experienced mediators who have teamed up to provide you with the benefit of their collective experience. We aim to provide a high quality service to resolve conflicts in a non-adversarial, client-centred process. We bring a wealth of knowledge from our different backgrounds, ranging from law to medicine, and we use our diversity of skills in a co-mediation model. In addition to our mediation practice, we are all skilled mediation trainers, working together to educate, coach and supervise the next generation of mediators.

Miriam Ziegler
Nationally Accredited Mediator and FDRP
Miriam received her Bachelor of Social Science (Honours) and Bachelor of Laws at UNSW and trained in mediation at Harvard Law School. Miriam started mediating in district courts in Boston in 2005 and in 2009 became an accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner. In addition to her private practice, Miriam mediates for Legal Aid, the Attorney General's Department and the Law Society. Miriam enjoys sharing her knowledge and experience with aspiring mediators whom she trains at the College of Law.
Dr Nicole Ash
Nationally Accredited Mediator and FDRP
Nicole draws on her unique blend of skills acquired across a wide variety of settings to provide quality and compassionate mediation. Nicole graduated from UWA with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery. She worked both clinically and in research before working in health service development, then change and operational management in the hospital setting. In all her roles Nicole saw the benefits of focusing on interest based discussion to deal with and move through conflict. She retrained as a mediator in 2010 and has been an FDRP since 2012. Nicole, as well as mediating, has experience in a variety of other dispute resolution processes including conciliation, restorative engagement and family group conferencing. She particularly enjoys supporting students who are learning the skills of facilitation and mediation.

Danielle Jaku-Greenfield
Nationally Accredited Mediator and FDRP
Danielle has worked in family law in various capacities since 2002. She started as a lawyer, in private practice and in a community legal centre, and then moved into mediation, becoming a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, in 2007. She has mediated since then, and written and published books for children of separating families. In addition to her private practice, Danielle has lectured in undergraduate family law, and since 2010 in postgraduate family law at The College of Law. Since 2014, she has also been training future mediators, which she thoroughly enjoys. In recent years she has been particularly interested in supporting fellow mediators in their work and organises regular supervision meetings. Her time is shared across private- and community-sector mediation services.
